The Costs
This page is all about the costs; in time, health, money and damage to my family and me
Public Service Announcement: Because I am still in Qatar, and based on the advice of my legal advisor there are certain things I cannot talk about or say here. I am working very hard to make it clear on this website and in my campaign that my problems are with individuals and not the State of Qatar.
This ordeal has been devastating, not just to me, but to my family and the true friends that stayed with me through everything.

And it hasn’t been just 3 years, no, it has been almost 5. Since March 2021, I was “brought in for investigation” and spent my first three nights in jail cell ever. Now, I am fighting to return home to my family and move on with my life. The time this has taken from me and the life I have been forced to live in prison has really screwed me up.

I lost a lot during this time in prison. I dropped over 65 pounds and lost two teeth. I also lost my business and my savings, no matter how small. My faith in governments and justice faded. I lost quite a bit of self-confidence, too. Plus, over $300,000 of my retired parents' money on legal fees and support. Below are just SOME of the legal fees my family paid out:
However, in the interest of being “fair and balanced” I did gain some things as well: Epic trust and paranoia issues; significant anger management challenges; Stage 3 hypertension; an amazing vocabulary of Arabic and Hindi Swear words; tumors (benign) in my thyroid; chronic back and joint pain; and a crippling phobia of boiled chicken and white rice.

Oh, and as a coping mechanism, a sense of humor so dark that black holes have been asking me for advice on how to stop light from escaping.
